Spring is officially here which means frilly parties, beautiful flowers, and cute outfits! Or at least that’s what it means to me! Lol! I love Spring because the scenery outside is just beautiful! It makes me want to sit on the front porch and sip sweet tea all day long!

This season totally inspired me to host a brunch for my girls! We always go out to dinner and stay until they put us out (literally, lol!), but this time I wanted to set up a nice brunch right here in my dining room! I wanted my guests to be comfortable and have plenty of time to catch up and gossip!
Let me tell you a little history about my girls! We all met in college (I’ve known one of these beauties since 3rd grade, and another since high school!) and have been inseparable ever since!!

We are more than just friends, we are sisters! We laugh, cry, and give brutally honest criticism! Lol! We also understand each other better than anyone else, so I felt honored to host a brunch for these pretty gals!!
Now On To The Details!
DÉCOR:
Before planning any event or party, I always start with my color scheme and centerpieces. I wanted the brunch to be full of bright colors and beautiful flowers! I also wanted a rustic, southern charm type of feel! I had these blue mason jars (Ball Mason Jar-32 oz. Aqua Blue Glass Ball Collection) laying around the house, so I thought these would make a cute vase for the flowers! I purchased the flowers at my favorite grocery store, Publix! (no ad, it’s seriously my fave store!!) These flowers were on sale so I bought about 3 bunches! This saved me tons of money verses going to a flower shop!
For my large centerpiece, I went with a 3-tier stand! This is a great way to feature your food and create a stunning centerpiece! This stand was VERY inexpensive! You can order it here, Mkono 3 Tier Cake Stand Cupcake Stands Dessert Plates
To give this stand some height, I used a brown wooden salad bowl! Yep, bowls have multiple uses in my house! They make great décor and are a very cost effective! This bowl also contributed very well to my rustic chic theme!

Place setting is a very important factor of your tablescape! To me, it can ‘fancy-up’ a table or cheapen the appearance! I chose to use gold chargers to compliment my gold utensils. These chargers were leftover Christmas decorations, so no extra money spent there! I purchased my serviceware from the thift store! Yep, the thrift store! I LOVE thrift stores and I often get a lot of my props and unique dishes from there! That whole set of serviceware cost me less than $20!

Instead of overcrowding the main table, I decided to make a mini mimosa station off to the side! You’ll never guess what I used to make this sign! Okay, okay I’ll tell you! I used a mirror…from the thrift store and only cost me $3.99!
BEFORE
AFTER
To turn it into a sign, I printed that cute catch phrase from my computer and taped it onto the front of the mirror! Clever ,huh?!
To make the table a little more fancy, but still rustic, I covered my dining room table with a white table cloth and added a burlap runner!
FOOD:
I made these super simple menu cards from card stock paper and my computer! I wanted to let my guests know what we were having and give them a chance to browse the menu while they sipped mimosas!
The Menu Included:
Turkey Sausage Over-Stuffed Mushrooms
Spinach and Prosciutto Pinwheels
No-Bake Greek Yogurt Peanut Butter Pie
Rosemary Infused Grapefruit Mimosas
I also added fresh fruit to the menu to add more variety and color to the table!
I bought these super cute mini chalkboard signs to serve as food labels! They added such a nice touch and helped to eliminate the question, “What’s that??” Lol! You can purchase these signs here, Korlon 15 Pack Mini Chalkboards Signs with Easel Stand

TIPS FOR THE HOSTESS
Planning and hosting a brunch can be extremely stressful, especially if you’re a perfectionist like me! Lol! I must have every detail just right, and there can be NO mistakes on the day of the event! That sounds easy enough, right?? Lol! WRONG! You have to remember to have fun and enjoy yourself! You also have to keep in mind that mistakes WILL happen, and it’s okay! Just roll with it!

To help eliminate my stress, I plan out my cooking schedule the day (or week) before! I also decorate a few days prior to the event and close that area off to the kids so that nothing gets messed up or broken! These little tips really help to make the day go a lot smoother!!
Party favors are a MUST for any event! It’s a way to thank your guests for taking the time to come to your party!
It doesn’t have to be expensive; it can be scented candle, a thoughtful card, or in this case, makeup and a bath bomb! Being a former MAC makeup artist, I have tons of brand new makeup stored in my closet! My girls LOVE make-up, so I thought that would be the perfect gift! I also added the bath bomb to make it more of a ‘pamper-yourself’ type of gift!
I truly had the BEST time with my girls! I hope that you received some good inspiration from my Complete Guide to Hosting a Beautiful Brunch on a Budget!
