One of my favorite ways to prepare a hot, nutritious meal in a short amount of time is to rely on sheet pan meals, such as this Sheet Pan Honey Glazed Pork Chops with Sweet Potatoes & Apples recipe! Sheet pan meals are the greatest thing ever! You can put together almost any meat and veggie combo, and it will turn out great! There’s no standing over the stove-top stirring or tossing, which can be super inconvenient when you have a ton of things to do!

For this recipe, I chose to use lean pork chops, sweet potatoes, and apples. These items go together perfectly. I made a sweet potato and apple dish a while back and it was a big hit, so I decided to upgrade that awesome dish into a full-course meal! ?

I love using sweet potatoes in my recipes because they contain such so many benefits!

Did You Know….???

  • Sweet potatoes help to promote gut health? The fiber and antioxidants in sweet potatoes are beneficial to gut health because they contain two types of fiber: soluble and insoluble. Our bodies cannot digest either type which causes the fiber to stay within our digestive tract and provide a variety of gut-related health benefits!
  • Sweet potatoes help to support healthy vision. Sweet potatoes are incredibly rich in beta-carotene, which is the antioxidant responsible for the vegetable’s bright orange color. Beta-carotene is converted to vitamin A in your body and used to form light-detecting receptors inside your eyes.

To make this Sheet Pan Honey Glazed Pork Chops with Sweet Potatoes & Apples meal extra special, I seasoned my pork and sweet potatoes with a honey glaze. And arranged them onto my baking sheet. Then, I added the sliced apples on top.

Time Saving Tip….

To save you even more time in the kitchen, you can choose to purchase the pre-cut apple slices to save time on cutting the apples by hand.

Once you have everything arranged on the baking sheet, bake for about 25-30 minutes until the pork is thoroughly cooked and the veggies are tender. And that’s it! You have a complete, nutritious and satisfying meal that the whole family can enjoy!

Relatively easy to make! And it was really yummy! Just wish the pork chops came out a little more tender.

I made this for three men and two women and everyone loved the sweet potatoes and apples. I swapped out the thyme in favor of rosemary because I don’t like thyme. SO delicious.

  3. My daughter came across this receipt and asked me to make it. I don’t have pork chops. Instead I have tenderloin so I hope the cook time will be the same. I will chop the tenderloin into pieces first. Also what type of red Apple do you prefer?
I will let you know how it turns out?

This was delicious and easy to prepare. I used honeycrisp for the apples. I added smoked paprika to the mixture for the glaze.

This is going in the oven tonight. Thanks for the great recipe! BTW – my family also has those nights when we resort to cold cereal and we refer to it as “breakfast soup” for dinner.
