This post is sponsored by Sun-Maid, but all opinions are my own.
If your family is anything like mine, they LOVE to snack! My kids will search the kitchen whenever they get a snack craving and complain that I never have anything “cool” or “fun!” And my husband is just as bad lol! He complains that I never have anything that he likes!
As a Registered Dietitian, choosing wholesome snacks is very important to me. I usually keep a stash of fresh veggies, fruits, and nuts on hand, but sometimes I guess that can get a little boring. While shopping in Walmart, I noticed a new snack on the shelf! It was Sun-Maid® Sour Raisin Snacks!
My family loves raisins so I was really excited to see another variation! And the best part was that they were kid-approved and mom-approved, from a brand that we know and trust, Sun-Maid! I love that these snacks were made with whole fruits, have no added sugar, are non-GMO, gluten-free, and have no synthetic colors.
When we got home, I decided to do something a little different. I made a snack board with all of their favorites; pecans, carrots, broccoli, cheese, and of course Sun-Maid® Sour Raisin Snacks! I love adding fresh veggies in for snack time because they provide a great source of fiber, vitamins, and minerals.
Nuts and low-fat dairy are also great snacks because they provide an excellent source of protein which helps to keep the kids satisfied until the next meal. Some great examples of low-fat dairy are reduced-fat cheese, Greek yogurt, or low-fat milk.
Even though I made this beautiful snack board, my family headed straight to the Sun-Maid® Sour Raisin Snacks! I don’t blame them because those snacks are delicious, with a punch of flavor and fun! Since these snacks come in convenient packs, they are perfect to take on-the-go. I’m so glad that I finally found a “cool” snack that my entire family loves!
