I’m a huge fan of quick and easy recipes! With two busy boys, a hubby, and a dog…. I don’t have much time to spend in the kitchen, so quick and easy recipes have become a life saver! I’ve been making tons of sheet pan meals lately, so I thought that it was time to switch things up a little bit and try something different.
Since we are a family of pasta-lovers, I thought that it would be fun to make a pasta salad for dinner! When I was younger, my mom would make pasta salad as a quick side dish to accompany the main dish, but I wanted to make a pasta salad that I could serve as the entire meal. Since tuna is a fave in our home, I thought that this Creamy Herb Tuna Pasta Salad would be the perfect recipe!
To make this recipe a lighter, more nutritious option for the whole family, I decided to use Hellmann’s® Light Mayo. Hellmann’s Mayo has always been a staple in our home. Hellmann’s Light Mayo provides us with that same great taste and it also helps us stay on track with our new year goals!
Hellmann’s Light Mayo is so much more than just a condiment, it’s the star ingredient in most recipes such as this Creamy Herb Tuna Pasta Salad! It’s double whipped so it provides a rich and creamy texture while also providing 60% less fat than regular mayonnaise. It’s also made with 100% cage free eggs, plant-based oils, and no artificial colors or flavors. Awesome, right?!
How to Make Creamy Herb Tuna Pasta Salad
This Creamy Herb Tuna Pasta Salad is possibly the easiest recipe that you will ever make! It only takes 20 minutes or less! Start by chopping the onion, herbs, and tomatoes. Once that’s done, mix up the creamy herb dressing by combining Hellmann’s Light Mayo, apple cider vinegar, onion, herbs, and seasonings.
Put a pot of water on to boil and cook the rotini pasta per package directions, usually 6-7 minutes. I like to use rotini pasta in my pasta salad because the little grooves between the spirals soak up a lot of flavor, making each bite sooo delicious!
When the pasta is done, drain it in a colander and rinse with cold water. This will stop the cooking process and rinse off any starchy residue. In a large bowl combine the drained pasta, drained tuna, tomatoes, and the creamy herb dressing. Mix everything together until well incorporated, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve immediately or place in the fridge to chill for a few minutes before serving.
Because my family is super impatient when it comes to meal time, I served this Creamy Herb Tuna Pasta Salad as soon as I was done making it lol! And guess what?? They LOVED it! I was really shocked that my youngest son liked it because he’s been extremely particular about his food lately!
The Hellmann’s Light Mayo truly made this dish so flavorful and creamy! It paired well with the herbs and spices. I am definitely going to go back to Publix and stock up on a few more bottles of Hellmann’s Light Mayo…happens to be the perfect time! Made it, loved it! I added shredded basil because I had no rosemary. It was delicious.
Thanks so much! I’m so glad that you enjoyed it!
Great. I reduced the garlic powder and put it on a bed of wilted spinach, yummy.
