Simple Ideas for a Fun Girls Night In

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again…being a mom is hard work! Yes, it’s rewarding and totally worth it, but definitely challenging! Since we ALWAYS set aside time for our kids to enjoy playdates, birthday parties, etc…I think it’s time that we set aside some much-needed time for ourselves! 

I’ve been wanting to put together a girls night for a while but never got around to doing it. And to be completely honest with you, I really didn’t feel like going out to a noisy club and spending hours in a pair of uncomfortable heels. I just wanted to spend a night in with my girls, which brought on the idea for a Girls Night In party.

This idea was absolutely perfect! We could unwind in our jammies and not worry about anything else! And the best part is that we could catch up, do a little gossiping, and enjoy a glass of wine and a delicious arrangement of food!

Since I’m the Hostess with the Mostess, I wanted to put together a menu that was light, yet satisfying, so I decided to go with sweet & savory appetizers featuring my favorite crackers, Triscuit, GOOD THiNS, and Wheat Thins! The kids and I love all of these crackers, but our top fave is definitely the Triscuit Original crackers.

They are made with 100% whole grain wheat, oil and salt which makes every bite delicious! I also love that they are Non-GMO Project Verified, which is clearly noted on each package with a butterfly logo. Anytime we head to Walmart, I always make sure that I stock up on a few boxes.

One of my appetizer recipes included a yummy savory recipe by Chef Levi. It was super easy to put together! Simply slice a few grape tomatoes in half, and place on top of a Triscuit, GOOD THiNS, or Wheat Thins cracker. Add fresh mozzarella balls, freshly chopped basil, and a balsamic drizzle for a delicious recipe that your guests will love! To help prevent the ingredients from falling off, I smeared a little cream cheese on each cracker before adding the other ingredients.

The rest of my menu included a charcuterie board filled with fresh fruit, cheese, Triscuit crackers, and a few of the savory appetizers. I also created a few mini charcuterie boards that included a variety of GOOD THiNS and Wheat Thins crackers, cheese and nuts. I added fresh pink roses to add a little color and pizazz to my boards! It complimented my pink and gold napkins perfectly!

And of course, we couldn’t forget about the wine!! I purchased a few bottles of Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, and Merlot to complete our menu! Now all you need is some 90s Pop/R&B music and a few games, and you’ve got an amazing girl’s night in!!!
