As a child, I absolutely LOVED Kellogg’s Rice Krispies treats. Sometimes, my mom would make them for us after school and we would pretty much devour the entire batch! When I was old enough to make them myself, I would experiment with these treats and add in a few fun flavors, such as peanut butter and chocolate. It was the perfect combo, so naturally I decided to experiment with these flavors again and created these amazing Kellogg’s Rice Krispies Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups.

These treats were super easy to make! All you need are a few simple ingredients: Kellogg’s Original Rice Krispies Cereal, marshmallows (I used the Publix Private Label Mini Marshmallows!), butter, peanut butter, chocolate chips, and sprinkles.

I picked up all of my ingredients at Publix because they always have the best deals. Now through 4/9/21, you can get a free package of Publix marshmallows (up to $2) with the purchase of 2 Kellogg’s® Rice Krispies® Cereals, which are located in the cereal aisle.

How to Make Kellogg’s Rice Krispies Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups

Ingredients & Supplies:

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 package (10.5 oz) Publix Private Label Mini Marshmallows
  • 6 cups Kellogg’s Original Rice Krispies Cereal
  • ¾ cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 & ½ cups milk chocolate chips, melted
  • Sprinkles
  • Mini muffin tin

When making these treats, you can choose to use the stove top or microwave method. Since I’m all about quick and easy recipes, I decided to whip up these treats in the microwave.

Start by adding the butter and marshmallows to a large heat-proof bowl, and microwave for 1-minute intervals, stirring between each until they are both melted. Next, stir in the Kellogg’s Rice Krispies Cereal and scoop out about 1 tablespoon of the mixture and press it into each mini muffin tin. Make sure to press a small hole in the middle for the filling.

Once all of the mini muffin tins have been filled with Kellogg’s Rice Krispies Treats, place about 1 teaspoon of peanut butter into the middle of each treat.
