Spring is finally here which means that it’s time to spruce up your home and bring in a little sunshine! Every time spring rolls around, I always like to take this time to clean and organize my home, and I always like to start with the kitchen.

In my opinion, the kitchen is the heart of the home. For me, it’s also my office, my studio, and a place to connect with my family! Since I spend most of my time in the kitchen, I like to be sure that my space is clutter-free and full of seasonal-inspired décor.

Sprucing up your kitchen and giving it a fresh look may not be as hard as you think. While many people immediately think that a kitchen can only be truly made over with a whole new set of cabinets, countertops and other expensive investments—you can often make something look completely different by cleaning and adding a few decorative elements.

Before I start decorating my kitchen, I like to give it a good clean. To make sure that every area gets cleaned properly, I like to use Method Products.  I love incorporating Method products into my spring-cleaning routine! It’s amazing how those fresh scents of spring can transform a whole room!

The area that seems to remain cluttered most of the time is the space around my sink. There’s everything from dishes, to toddler cups, and random toys in that area, lol! I removed all of those items, and added some colorful Spring flowers and a couple bottles of Method Hand Wash.

My favorite scents include the Method Sea Minerals Hand Wash and the Method Rose Water Hand Wash. They both leave my hands feeling super clean and soft! I also like to keep a bottle of the Method Lime Sea Salt Dish Soap on hand to quickly wash a few dishes in between those dishwasher loads.

Once my sink area is nice and tidy, I like to add a few pops of color on my kitchen counter. This can be done with a few inexpensive signs, vases and flowers. I like to use faux flowers to create this look because they last a lot longer—and they don’t make me sneeze! I’m horribly allergic to fresh flowers, so for that reason, I usually try to stick to faux flowers!

Last but not least is my little kitchen nook. This is my favorite area in my kitchen! I like to give this nook a good wipe down with my Method products to keep it looking nice! I also love to add seasonal décor to this area and use it as one of my serving areas when entertaining.

Refreshing your kitchen doesn’t have to be hard or intimidating. As long as you have the right cleaning products and the perfect seasonal décor, you can turn any area into a lovely space that the whole family will enjoy!
