What’s one of your favorite appetizers?? My favorite appetizer is definitely Buffalo Chicken Dip! Whenever we invite a few friends over for a gathering, we always serve buffalo chicken dip along with a few fresh veggies for dipping.

As much as I love this dish, I thought that it could use a little makeover, so I decided to make this amazing Baked Buffalo Chicken Stuffed French Bread! This recipe contains all of those delicious, savory flavors of traditional buffalo chicken dip, but it’s baked into a fresh loaf French bread. Yum!!

Whenever I am shopping at Sprouts, I like to swing by the Bakery Department to pick up a loaf of French bread. Sprouts’ French Bread is freshly baked in store daily. I just love that crispy crust and chewy center – which makes it perfect for this recipe!

Whenever I purchase my French Bread from Sprouts, it makes me feel good to know its free from artificial colors, flavors, preservatives and high fructose corn syrup. 

HOW TO MAKE BUFFALO CHICKEN STUFFED FRENCH BREAD

To make this Baked Buffalo Chicken Stuffed French Bread, start by slicing the French Bread about 2 inches deep through the top, and continue to cut a large rectangle, being careful not to cut through the bottom of the bread. Remove top of bread and hollow out middle to create more space. Set aside.

Next, combine the cream cheese, Greek yogurt, buffalo sauce, ½ cup of sharp cheddar cheese, chicken, garlic powder, and salt/pepper to taste in a medium bowl. Spoon the buffalo chicken dip into prepared French bread and top with remaining cheddar and green onions. Bake on a baking tray at 350 degrees F for 25-30 minutes or until cheese is melted and bread is golden, and slightly crispy. Let bread sit for approximately 10 minutes and then slice. Sooo good!!

Baked Buffalo Chicken Stuffed French Bread

Ingredients

  • 1 large loaf Sprouts French Bread
  • 8 oz. cream cheese softened
  • ½ cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup buffalo sauce
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese divided
  • 2 & ½ cups shredded chicken
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons green onion chopped
  • Salt/pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Slice about 2 inches deep through the top of the French bread, and continue to cut a large rectangle, being careful not to cut through the bottom of the bread. Remove top of bread and hollow out middle to create more space. Set aside.
  • In a medium bowl, combine cream cheese, Greek yogurt, buffalo sauce, ½ cup of sharp cheddar cheese, chicken, garlic powder, and salt/pepper to taste.
