This Spicy Lime Cilantro Quinoa is the perfect side dish to any meal! This tasty dish takes very little time to prepare and provides so many health benefits as well!

I love making quinoa because it’s so versatile! You can add so many different things to it…you can make it spicy, sweet, savory…the possibilities are endless! For this dish, I decided to make it spicy. My husband loves spicy food, and I really wanted him to try quinoa. He is usually very hesitant about trying new food, especially food with funny names! Lol. In order to get him to try this, I made it spicy and added lots of tasty flavors. I mean, who can turn down lime, cilantro, and spices?! He tried it, and fell in love! Now he’s always asking, “When are you going to cook some of that quinoa again?” ?

Because I am not the best quinoa or rice cooker, I am so thankful that a boil-in-bag quinoa product was created!! Lol! I am ALL about a boil in the bag product, and that is exactly what I used in this recipe! You can choose to make your quinoa the old-fashioned way, but I prefer to take the easy way out! ?

Quinoa is often a staple whenever I am putting together my weekly meal prep. It reheats well and the flavor is just as great the next day! Besides being tasty, quinoa has many health benefits! Did you know that quinoa is a complete protein that contains all 9 essential amino acids?? Our bodies do not naturally produce these essential amino acids, so it is important that we choose food sources that contain these magical components! ? Quinoa also contains twice as much fiber compared to other grains! Fiber can help to lower cholesterol, glucose levels, and help to maintain a healthy gut! Doesn’t this just make you want to run out and buy some quinoa right now? Lol!
