Halloween is one of my absolute favorite times of the year! Last year, I went for a fun Groovy Halloween Coffee Bar that was full of pinks, oranges, and purples, but this year, I wanted to embrace a more mysterious, moody vibe. So, I decided to go with a Spooky Halloween Apothecary-Themed Coffee Bar…and it might just be my favorite one yet!

Step-by-Step Guide: How to Create a Spooky Apothecary Coffee Bar

Step 1: Choose Your Color Scheme

Before you start decorating, choose your theme and colors. I went with black and gold, which instantly gives that elegant-yet-spooky apothecary look.

If you want to switch things up, dark greens, deep burgundy, or ivory also work beautifully for an apothecary Halloween decor vibe. Sticking to just a few colors keeps everything cohesive and visually stunning.

Step 2: Find Budget-Friendly Decor

I found several of my budget-friendly Halloween decorations at Amazon and the Dollar Tree.

*Pro tip: If you shop at Dollar Tree, go early in the season! The Halloween section gets picked over fast, and shopping early gives you the best selection of affordable finds!

Here are a few of the items I grabbed:

These Amazon and Dollar Tree Halloween finds are perfect for transforming your everyday coffee station into a spooky masterpiece.

Step 3: Make DIY Bloody Candles

No spooky Halloween coffee bar is complete without candlelight! I used my DIY Bloody Candles from my blog, and they were so easy to make! (You can find the tutorial HERE). The dripping red wax gives a creepy, haunted-house effect that fits perfectly with the apothecary theme.

I placed a few of these DIY Halloween decorations on my shelves to add that warm, eerie glow that ties the entire space together.

Step 4: Add Clever Signs

One of the easiest ways to make your Halloween coffee station stand out is with fun signage! You can print your own or find budget-friendly Halloween signs at Amazon or Dollar Tree. They add personality and charm to your spooky coffee bar decor while keeping the vibe playful and fun.

Step 5: Get Creative with Containers

To nail that true apothecary Halloween decor look, think outside the box when it comes to storage! I found plastic medicine-style bottles at the Dollar Tree and used them to store my sugar and creamer. And once I added these spooky Halloween labels, they looked just like vintage potion bottles! I also grabbed plastic skull bowls that were perfect for holding coffee filters and other essentials. These small details make your DIY Halloween coffee bar feel authentic and imaginative.

Step 6: Add Spooky Accents

This is where your creativity can shine! I sprinkled plastic spiders, stretched black cotton across the shelves to mimic cobwebs, and even added small skeletons sitting around my coffee bar. These tiny details make the setup look extra spooky and full of character.

If you want more texture, try layering black lace or gauzy fabric behind your display. A little goes a long way in creating the perfect spooky coffee bar aesthetic.
