These homemade Alabama Parmesan Fire Crackers will be the hit of your next gathering! Get ready to indulge in Southern-inspired delight!

As someone who was born and raised in Alabama—I’m here to tell you that we’re serious about our party foods, especially when it comes to these flavorful crackers! You can usually find them at almost any party or occasion, but they’re especially popular during the holiday season.
How to Make Alabama Fire Crackers
This southern classic is so easy to make! Here’s what you’ll need:
- Ritz-style crackers
- Ranch seasoning mix
- Olive oil
- Grated Parmesan cheese
- Red pepper flakes
- Dried parsley

Preheat Your Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 250°F (120°C). This low temperature will allow the flavors to meld without burning the crackers.
Prepare the Crackers: Add the crackers to a large mixing bowl. Add in the ranch seasoning mix, olive oil, grated Parmesan cheese, parsley, and red pepper flakes. Gently toss the ingredients together, ensuring that each cracker is coated evenly.
Lay Out on Baking Sheets: Arrange the coated crackers on baking sheets in a single layer. You may need to use 2 baking sheets for this step. This ensures even baking and allows the crackers to crisp up to perfection.

Bake to Crispy Perfection: Place the baking sheets in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 15-20 minutes, or until the crackers turn golden brown and crispy. Keep an eye on them to prevent overcooking.
Cool and Serve: When done, let the crackers cool for a few minutes. The flavors intensify as they cool, and the crackers reach their peak crispiness.
Store or Share: Store your crackers in an airtight container to maintain their crisp texture. You can also share them with friends and family for a savory and spicy snack or DIY gift that’s perfect for gatherings. Enjoy!

I made one change. I used Italian seasoning, parsley, red pepper flakes and Parm cheese. They are great.
Thanks for giving them a try!
