While I absolutely LOVE pancakes, muffins, and omelets…I’ve really been into smoothies lately! Most of my smoothie combos include really unique ingredients such as, THIS ONE, THIS ONE, and THIS ONE, but one of my favorite smoothie combinations is strawberry and banana!
Strawberry and banana is a classic combo that never gets old! It’s a taste that I can literally have every day, without getting bored, which inspired me to whip up this Simple Strawberry Banana Oat Smoothie!

Of course, this smoothie contains fresh strawberries and bananas, but I also added in oats to help bump up the nutritional content! I love adding oats to my recipes because they contain so many wonderful benefits!
Did You Know…???
- Oats are among the most nutrient-dense foods you can eat! Half a cup of dry oats contains tons of vitamins and minerals such as, manganese, phosphorus, Vitamin B1, and Vitamin B5.
- Oats contain large amounts of beta-glucan, which is a type of soluble fiber. Beta-glucan has been linked to reducing LDL and total cholesterol levels.
- Oats may help lower blood sugar levels, especially in people who are overweight or have type 2 diabetes. They may also improve insulin sensitivity.
When blending my Simple Strawberry Banana Oat Smoothie, I used unsweetened almond milk because it’s easier on my tummy, but you can use any kind of milk that you prefer. If you like your smoothies on the thinner side, you might want to add more milk until you reach your desired consistency. I like my smoothies thick, so this recipe was perfect, as is!
For the finishing touch, I topped my Simple Strawberry Banana Oat Smoothie with extra bananas, strawberries, and granola! Yum!! Enjoy!
